RACK Risk Aware Consensual Kink
Similar to SSC or PRICK, this is a was of checking what you are doing in the BDSM space is safe.
Here you should ask yourself the following
Am I aware of what risk this will be associated with (physically and mentally)?
Am I consenting to this?
Are my play partner(s) aware of the risk and have they consented to this?
If the answer is ‘No’ to any of these, then it is important not to enter into the play. It is certainly possible to make BDSM safe, so there is no excuse to not keep it safe.
Where this differs from SSC and PRICK, is that where SSC is spelling out both physical and mentally, this has both combined under the first part “risk aware”. This in addition does state there is a ‘risk’ associated in certain cases, but is questioning if you are aware of it and tying this in with ‘are you consenting to the risk’. This one is not addressing that if there is a risk, you should not proceed, but simply you need to be aware and consenting. This for ‘newer’ people in BDSM is not addressing that if it is indeed providing risk, you simply should not do it.
If you therefore choose to follow RACK, please take moments to make limits prior which takes into account your mental health and physical help, so that even if you would consent, it will flag red if its something that could breach a limit
